Elizabeth Quinn, About.com’s guide to sports medicine recently outlined 5 exercises that in her opinion every athlete should do to stay strong and prevent injuries. That’s a pretty good endorsement for a lucky few exercises so I thought we should take a look.

One of the top 5 exercises from over there at sports medicine is walking overhead lunges. Well, drat. I don’t do them. We don’t usually do them in Pilates. And I just can’t stand them (am I revealing my weaknesses here? Yup.).

Control Of Herpes Symptoms Does Not Reduce HIV Transmission, International Study Found

Research from a five-year international clinical study shows that acyclovir, a commonly prescribed drug used to suppress symptoms of the herpes virus, does not affect HIV transmission by people with both viruses.

The study, conducted by the Partners in Prevention HSV/HIV Transmission Study, was released by the New England Journal of Medicine in its online edition Jan. 20 and will follow in the print edition Feb. 4.

The largest risk group worldwide, but particularly in Africa and Asia, for contracting HIV is stable, heterosexual couples where only one partner is infected. Continue training!
